NEET PG 2024: Revised Percentile for Counseling Eligibility Announced
In a significant update for NEET PG 2024 aspirants, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), in consultation with the National Medical Commission (NMC), has revised the eligibility criteria for counseling. The percentile cutoffs for participation in the counseling process have been lowered, opening doors for more candidates to secure postgraduate medical seats.
As per the latest decision:
- General/EWS Category: Candidates with 15 percentile and above are now eligible for counseling.
- SC/ST/OBC/PwD Category: Candidates with 10 percentile and above can participate in the counseling process.
This decision is expected to benefit a larger pool of candidates, ensuring wider access to postgraduate medical education and addressing the growing demand for specialized medical professionals in the country.
Candidates are strongly advised to regularly visit the official websites of the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) at www.mcc.nic.in and the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for updates on the counseling schedule, scorecards, and other important announcements.
